The Blue Ribbon sailing race is one of the most popular events of Balatonfüred, which has a nearly century-old tradition. The Hungarian Sailing Federation holds the event every July, during which sailors have to complete the Balatonfüred-Balatonkenese-Siófok-Keszthely-Balatonfüred route - in a maximum of 48 hours. The town offers activities not only for participants. The Blue Ribbon Festival is a week-long celebration before the race, featuring a boat parade, concerts and a street ball.

Since 1825, the Anna Ball has been one of Balatonfüred's most famous and exclusive events. The event is held every year in ANNA GRAND on the Saturday closest to Anna Day. The tradition also includes the election of the The Belle and the court ladies, who each take home a Herendi porcelain vase with Victoria, Rotschild or Aponyi decorations. Artists and politicians of the time are still welcomed guests at this distinguished social event.
